March 16, 2020 In response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak internationally and in the U.S., Stevens Equipment Supply is committed to the continued safety of our employees, customers and vendor partners. Our company is underpinned in the core values of caring and safety. These are values that we strive to practice and deliver on at all times. While our intent is to remain flexible as the situation evolves, I wanted to share some of the actions Stevens Equipment Supply is taking to be a responsible partner and ensure the safety of our employees, clients, vendors and community.
We have increased our sanitization practices and educated our employees on hand washing, social distancing and preventative practices.
Canceled upcoming customer meetings and trainings
Modified future training sessions to webinars and/or recorded eventsIncreased cleaning and sanitation protocols at all locations as recommend by the CDC
Suspended work-related airline travel for all employees
Communicated a companywide employee “COVID-19 Action Plan”
Restricted travel for our sales and field service technicians
As of Friday, March 13, 2020, we have no disruptions in our supply chain; however, we understand this has the possibility to change and therefore we remain committed to maintain an inventory of product to service and support our customers. In addition, we have proactively made the decision to increase our stock levels. We have purchased excess inventory over the past two weeks. For some items, this represents over 14 weeks of supply. Should the need arise, our branch locations have sufficient processing capabilities that would allow us to transfer operations from one location to another. To keep our locations operating effectively, it is crucial to maintain a healthy workforce, and so it is our top priority to keep our associates healthy and safe. Therefore, we have reminded our associates of the importance of good personal hygiene and continue to communicate precautionary measures with them to prevent contracting and transmitting this or any disease. As we continue to monitor this situation, we are also giving thoughtful consideration about how we can help you overcome new or escalated challenges related to COVID-19. We will continue to update you as this situation unfolds. We view our relationship with you as a partnership, and we believe that open communication, cooperation, and patience between our companies is critical. We remain confident in Stevens Equipment Supply’s capabilities as your supplier during this challenging situation. We thank you for your continued business and look forward to many years of success for both of our companies.
